What is the Clayton Elementary PTO?
The Clayton Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization that supports Clayton Elementary by building community, organizing events, raising funds, and providing resources that enrich the educational experience for all students.
Who can join the PTO?
All Clayton Elementary parents, guardians, caregivers, teachers, and staff are welcome to get involved. There are no membership dues, and everyone is encouraged to participate in whatever way works best for their schedule.
What is the Tiger Den?
The Tiger Den is Clayton Elementary's Community Hub. It a place where you can stay updated on what's happening at Clayton and how you can support the community. We encourage every family to create an account and keep their information up to date in the Your Account section each school year. Having current contact information helps ensure you receive PTO announcements, volunteer opportunities, event information, and other important school communications.
How can I get involved?
Getting involved is easy! Start by creating or updating your family's Tiger Den account so you don't miss volunteer opportunities and PTO announcements. There are many ways to support the PTO! You can volunteer at school events, help with fundraising efforts, attend PTO meetings, or assist with projects throughout the year. Whether you have one hour or many, we'd love to have you involved.
Do I have to attend meetings to volunteer?
No. While we encourage families to attend meetings to stay informed, volunteering is not dependent on meeting attendance. There are many opportunities to help throughout the year, and volunteer opportunities will be shared through the Tiger Den and PTO communications.
When does the PTO meet?
The PTO Board meets monthly during the school year. Meeting dates, agendas, and approved meeting minutes are available on the Meeting Agendas & Minutes page.
How does the PTO raise money?
The PTO raises funds through events such as Spirit Nights, the Fun Run, community partnerships, and other fundraising activities. Every dollar raised helps support students, teachers, and school programs.
How are PTO funds used?
Funds raised by the PTO are used to support student enrichment, teacher appreciation, classroom needs, family events, school improvements, and other initiatives that benefit the Clayton Elementary community. The PTO is committed to responsible and transparent stewardship of all funds.
Can I make a donation if I can't volunteer?
